Rock band to play in PCAC fundraiser

A Plymouth-area rock band will take up the cause of the local cultural scene on Saturday in a concert to benefit the Plymouth Community Arts Council.

The D’Art Band, a band with roots stretching back about 30 years, will perform Saturday during a reception at the PCAC’s Joanne Winkelman Hulce Center for the Arts. The event, with wine, other refreshments and light hors d’oeuvres, is 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The D’Art Band’s appearance is the culmination of the PCAC’s Heart and Soul event in September and October. Band members are Jane Renwick Fry, lead vocals and percussion; Waldon Reed Jr., lead guitar and vocals; Pete Celano, bass guitar, rhythm guitar and vocals; Craig Fry, keyboards and vocals; Celeste Reed, flute and percussion; and Jerry Teevens, drums, percussion and vocals.

Tickets are $10 each and are available at the PCAC, which is at 774 North Sheldon at Junction in Plymouth. Call (734) 416-4278.
